Another Santa Finish

Hi All, Just like my creative title suggests I finished truckin'(typed very carefully) Santa on the weekend.

My lovely camera has washed it out but it very bright and cheery. I am still waiting to get my new Stoney Creek magazine so I can start the next one. It will be a choice of a golf cart or an aeroplane.

Faery Tales & A Barbie dress

Hi All, First up is Faery Tales

And I finished a dress for Barbie

My lovely camera has washed the colors out. The top is pale pink and the skirt has pale pink, dark pink and white ruffles. In the  pattern ( found here pattern 1020 ). The only changes I have made are I added a button hole on the back and used 3.25mm needles instead of 2mm.Also you are supposed to press down the ruffles so they lay straight down but I liked how it looks curly so will be leaving it like that for now. The site has lots of great barbie knitting patterns. I have now started a rainbow one for Charlotte who is choosing the colors for me as I go along. I started with purple and she has green lined up for me next.

Faery Tales and a Fairy Park

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales.

And last weekend we took the girls to the Fairy Park in Anakie .

 The playground is a huge castle where the kids can go in the walls and down a big slide. We were able to organize to go with a couple of Bella's friends from school so a good day was had by all and the weather was perfect.

And huge hello to my new followers. I can't believe I have cracked the magic 100. I will be having a giveaway in the next couple of weeks when school starts and I have a little bit of sanity back.
The girls loved Ice Age 4 and considering it was their first time at the movies they sat like little angels all the way through it. I'm still not sure if I was looking at the right girls. Somehow Hannah managed to eat her way through a bucket of popcorn by herself and still eat her lunch.

Faery Tales and a flashback

Hi All, Here it is again. You can see puss in boots a bit more clearly now.

And now for the flashback this is my first ever bit of cross stitch. It is called Egypt and is out of a Jill Oxten magazine. I done this when I was 18 and the girl that taught me said I would never finish it. I still remember cursing at the snakes scales which were in some sort of sparkly thread.

The black dots you can see are from my Dad trying to frame it for me. I have no idea how they were meant to help but there you go.
