And then there was 10...

Hi All, I had another page finish on Faery Tales so am now down to 10 pages.
Today is the last day of term 1 for Bella so some school holiday activities must be planned. We will probably go to the movies the first week and then the aquarium the second week. So anyone know any good kid movies out at the moment?

Weekend Wonders

Hi All, Here are my weekend wonders. First up Princess Izzy.
Followed by one of the Santa's Boy Toys ornaments.
This weekend was a busy one. On Saturday we had a birthday party at a play center and  boy do they get noisy. Hannah being the fearless one of the gang thought the giant blow up slide looked fun, so the day was spent keeping her of it and trying to convince her that the toddler section was just as much fun. She was not having a bar of it. Yesterday we went on a little road trip to visit my Nan.
Bella had her first school excursion today to the Melbourne Zoo. She had a great time and now wants a pet turtle.

Faery Tales and an Award

Hi All, First up the never ending story which is Faery Tales.
Almost finished with this page then it will be 10 to go.
And on to the award. Ewa from cross stitch and other musings and pull the other thread have given me the Liebster award.
Liebster is a German word, meaning favorite, dearest or beloved, and the Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other, newer bloggers who have fewer than 200 followers, to spread the word and help the new(er)bies gain wider recognition. The award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting:
 1. Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to.

2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.

3. Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.

4. Share five random facts about yourself that people don't know about you.

So without further ado I will pass the award on to
1- Bonnie's World
2-Croosed stitches by Virpi
3- Country Stitcher
All great blogs and well worth a visit.
And for five random facts
1-I was born with 10 fingers and 11 fingernails. The extra one wasn't removed until I was 12 months old and my Dad loves telling everyone how I used to use it as a spoon.
2- I've been pregnant or breastfeeding since December 2005. Hannah still has a nighttime feed but that will be ending soon. This mummy needs a break!
3- I have never been overseas but one day would love to take the girls to Disneyland.
4-I used to breed miniature ponies
5-I can't stand coffee or coffee flavored things. Each time I was pregnant just the smell of it would make me sick
So there you go. I hope you all have a rocking weekend. We are of to my niece's 6th birthday party at a play center so I am looking forward to some tired princess's on Saturday night.

A New Start...

Hi All, After finishing the tractor Santa last week I started the motorbike Santa this week.
I'm doing this on 14ct aida 2 over 1 so when I switch over to Princess Izzy the next night on 20 ct aida it seems even smaller.

It's going pretty easy at the moment with the same green going through the middle of it.
Bella had her first school birthday party Friday night. It as quite cute when I  went to pick her up from school  to hear her and her friends talking about what they were going to wear and how they would have their hair. I can't believe how much she is growing up. Hannah had her first tantrum on the weekend when she decided she didn't like what she was wearing and threw herself to the ground and proceeded to scream for 15 minutes. Unfortunately for her this mummy has seen it all before and after walking away and leaving her she got up, laughed at me and went on her merry way. Charlotte stayed true to being the middle child and just went on with her business. Ahhh...never a dull moment.

And here is Faery Tales...

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales for another week.
I'm still planning on making barbie clothes and have the pieces cut out and ready to sew. Just have to wait for my mother-in-law and me to have some spare time at the same time. When I went to Spotlight this week I  picked up some cute fat quarters to do who knows what with but since they were only a $1 each that's OK.
(right?)
Have a great weekend,Sharine

Finally a Finish!

Hi All, Finally I have a finish for this year. The Santa tractor ornament is finished and I plan on starting the motorbike one next. I done this on 14ct aida 2 over 1.
I also got to add something other then green on Izzy.
And even added some pinks/red to Floral Beauty
We wasted today in the hospital emergency room today after DH got some steel shavings in his eye yesterday. 5 hours later and some eye wash he is on the mend and no permanent damage has been done thank goodness.
Hope everyone's week goes well.

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales complete with ugly duckling in a sea of blue.
Bella had her first full week of school this week. I thought come Friday night she may be tired but instead she didn't fall asleep till about 2 hours after her bedtime and was awake at 6-30 this morning. She never fails to amaze me.

Santa and Izzy

Hi All, Thank goodness the weekend is over. All of us with the exception of Bella ended up with colds. So a boring weekend was had with tissues everywhere and trying to get the kids to have some cough medicine. No doubt it will be the first of many for the year.
I still managed some stitching after they had gone to bed. First I started the backstitching on Santa.
His eyes are supposed to be french knots which I can't do to save my life so I just added a few quarter stitches in the corners and they look ok.
And Princess Izzy
This week I brought a barbie sewing pattern to try and make the girls some new clothes. I have no idea how to sew but my mother in law used to make mens suits so she has offered to teach me how to use my sewing machine that I had to have after Charlotte was born and which has been pretty much sitting their since.
This is the pattern I chose and although the girls would love a wedding dress I think I might start with something a little simpler. So if any of you have made doll clothes or have any general sewing tips/tricks please let me know!

And here is Faery Tales...

Hi All, Here is Faery Tales again. The only thing that grew on it was the sea so nothing but blue was stitched on it this week.
This column has the start of The Ugly Duckling.
Yesterday Hannah woke up with a cold so no doubt it will go through the house. On top of that when we picked Bella up from school there was a note that a case of head lice had  been found at the school. Always fun when you have three girls!
Hope everyone enjoys there weekend,Sharine
